Best Free Screen Capture Software

Free Screen Capture Tools
As I sit here trying to write about the most awesome free screen capture software ever created.. a bird across from where I am sitting keeps on distracting me with its wing flapping.. no seriously, this bird is on a mission to distract me from the task at hand!

That aside, I must inform you of several free tools to replace that “Print Screen” key and the limited functionality it has. It is today that you will learn about several programs that will allow you to capture, customize, crop, title, and save screen images to many different formats. In fact, the author of this website uses a couple of them to produce all the images found in this place.

Before I begin let me just say this: MWSnap is one of the best screen capturing tools I have ever used. Very simple, no frills, light, to the point, and uses very few resources. That being said, it appears to have some quirks running under Vista and (I assume) Windows 7.

It automatically saves captures in BMP or JPEG format, so you don’t have to stop each time you capture, and you can capture as many as you like. It also can save captures to the Clipboard to be copied to other programs, such as Motion Studio and Word. ScreenHunter has a selectable hot-key capture (F1 to F10) and delayed capture, and uses virtually no system resources on standby. Thanks for sharing the free resource of screen recording software. They really helps for recording the screen. But the editing feature for most of them need to be improved for website demo and software tutorials making. Some commercial screen recorder like DemoCreator(http://www.sameshow.com/demo-creator.html#105) and Camtasia could be the sample for these screen recorders to follow.
